Signal Inputs

SBench 6 Analog Input Setup

All signal inputs be it analog or digital inputs, be it 2 channels or 256 channels are available at one place and can be easily maintained by standard windows mouse commands. Multiple channels can be selected and changed together. A fast change is available using the context menu. A more detailed setup is possible using a dedicated signal input dialog.

The fastest way to change settings here is the mouse wheel. Just point to the settings you want to change and move the wheel: that setting will change for all marked input channels.

Input Channel Dialog

SBench 6 Input DetailsThe Input Channel dialog offers all settings for one or more input channels. Inhere an input scaling to an external sensor can be defined. The input signal is automatically recalculated and optionally providing a custom unit for this. This custom unit is used throughout SBench 6 and is used in the display windows, cursor information and exports. Custom units are automatically displayed using SI prefixes like m (milli) or k (kilo) for better visibility.

A fast way to set custom units are the "probe buttons" at the bottom. Simply click on the probe type you've connected like 10:1 probe and all setting and scaling is done.

Each channel can be given a dedicated name and color which is used throughout SBench 6. This channel name can be any text including unicode characters to support different language writing like Cyrillic, Japanese or Chinese.
