Directives | Spectrum
We comply with and fulfill all the rules and regulations in accordance to our environmental legal obligations.
CE marking is a indicator of a product conformity with EU legislation and enables the free movement of products within the European market. The CE marking effects to many product groups - as well to our PC instrumentation product line. The products are tested to ensure that they meet the requirements of the CE directives and a CE mark is affixed.
Lead-free products - we do it unsolicited. The RoHS directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electronic and electronic equipment. All PC cards of Spectrum are listed in category 9 "Monitoring and Control Instruments" of the European ROHS directive and are therefore not forced to be lead-free. Our ambition is to produce as many lead-free products as possible. All new boards are developed with lead-free components only. Existing products are changed to lead-free as soon as all components are available in a lead-free version.
The Regulation, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Community Regulation related to the safe use and identification of chemicals (Regulation (EC) Number 1907/2006). According to REACH Spectrum Systementwicklung Microelectronic GmbH is a „downstream user“. All Spectrum products are non-chemical products („articles“) as defined in REACH. Under normal and foreseeable conditions of use no substances are intended to be released.
