SMB CONNECTION AND CABLES
All Spectrum SMB connections are SMB male. A cable with a SMB female connector is needed to attach to the Spectrum product.
SMB to BNC male
The BNC male connector is used to directly connect to other instruments. Most table top instruments and also most machines have a BNC female connector and need this cable to be directly connected.
- Cab-3f-9m-80: 80 cm cable SMB female to BNC male
- Cab-3f-9m-200: 200 cm cable SMB female to BNC male
SMB to BNC female
The BNC female connector can be used to connect the Spectrum card to another BNC cable connector or directly to a standard probe.
- Cab-3f-9f-80: 80 cm cable SMB female to BNC female
- Cab-3f-9f-200: 200 cm cable SMB female to BNC female
- Cab-3f-9f-5: 5 cm extra short connection for standard probes
SMB to SMB female
The SMB female connector can be used to interconnect two Spectrum cards for example to distribute clock or trigger signal from one system to another.
- Cab-3f-3f-80: 80 cm cable SMB female to SMB female
- Cab-3f-3f-200: 200 cm cable SMB female to SMB female
SMB to SMA male
SMA cables and connectors have been designed for highest frequencies. The SMA connection is screwed and fits very tight and stable. The SMA male connector is used to directly connect to other instruments or machines which use this high speed connector.
- Cab-3f-3mA-80: 80 cm cable SMB female to SMA male
- Cab-3f-3mA-200: 200 cm cable SMB female to SMA male
SMB to SMA female
SMA cables and connectors have been designed for highest frequencies. The SMA connection is screwed and fits very tight and stable. The SMA female connector is used to connect to standard SMA cables.
- Cab-3f-3fA-80: 80 cm cable SMB female to SMA female
- Cab-3f-3fA-200: 200 cm cable SMB female to SMA female
SMB to MMCX
The MMCX connector is the smallest coaxial connector that is available from Spectrum.
